En route from Java to Port Adelaide with cargo of sugar. Total cargo worth $50,000 was lost. Crew of 21 all survived. Ship initially grounded with extensive damage and swell breaking over decks. Two weeks later steam lighter Beagle still unable to get alongside. Vessel abandoned
Underwater
Extensive wreckage at 10m depth includes boilers, rudder, engine and sections of iron hull. The wreck site was discovered by divers in 1978 and considered to be one of best dive sites in the area.
