The ill-fated vessel was launched in April 1951, only to run aground four months later on what is now known as Webb Reef. It lies 1.6km west of Ledge point

The boiler clearly visible from the surface, lying about 1m below surface. The site has been extensively salvaged but remains an attractive and easily accessible wreck dive in good conditions.
