The wreck of the Stanford is located on the central reef of the three reefs comprising the African Reef complex. It lies scattered in 5m of water, mainly on the seaward side of the reef. The reef is subject to dangerous breaking swells, NOTE: This wreck was used for target practice during World War II, and still may contain unexploded bombs.
