Sinking:

Under tow by Ocean tug bound for Manila was driven ashore and could not be refloated. Refloated in January 1964 but the tug was seized by authorities and the Alkimos was left anchored. In May 1964, the vessel broke anchor and was driven onto the Eglinton Rocks
